We are Back

So I realize that I have been rather lame when it comes to my blog but I am hoping to make up for lost time. So here are a few highlights that you missed over the last 2 1/2 months we have been absent.
Christmas
Each year on Christmas Eve we open one gift which is our Jammies. Of course I make them match so we took a couple of pictures.

They had more gifts to open on Christmas day.
A really big Bonk

Two days before Christmas we were at Great Grandma and Grandpa's house when he tripped on a rug and caught the corner of a chair with his head. It stuck out about a quarter of an inch from his head and looked like a horn for a couple of day. He still has a bump there, I hope it goes away.

He learned how to be a better big brother

He learned how to sneak things to his brother. He gave him a doughnut and told me flat out that he did. This is not the first time however, he is constantly trying to share. Actually, the other day he gave him one of those crunchy granola bars and I walked in to find the baby with it in his mouth. As soon as the baby saw me he started frantically shoving the granola bar in his mouth because he knew I was coming to take it away.
He learned what work baths and a nite-nite routine can be a lot of work. This was so cute. We were having the hardest time getting him to get in the shower. He would scream and cry and throw a fit so we had the idea to have him bathe and get his cars ready for bed. He did just that. He washed each one in the shower, toweled them off, put lotion on them and got each one their own binki and tucked them into bed.

He learned how to hold and burp a baby.He learned how to take care of his little brother.

We met Santa
He met Santa for the first time. Too bad his big brother was out of town for this one. He was curious about him but not scared at all. He actually turned around and looked into the camera for the photographer. It was quite cute.

Uncle Han's big surprise

Yes, this cute little face was a surprise to Uncle Hans who got home from his Mission in December. We are terrible siblings and did not tell him that we were pregnant let alone that we had a 6 month old when he walked off the plane.
We don't actually have a picture of Hans (but ladies, trust me he is cute) but here is a picture we took at his homecoming party which is a four generation picture which is really neat.
(Now wouldn't you be sad if you didn't know about this cute little face?)

Grandma and Grandpa's 30th Wedding Anniversary

We got together with the whole family at the park to celebrate. It was a little cold that day but we had a lot of fun. (As you can tell we start the Wildcat propaganda early because we would hate to see then turn toward the devil....right Beha......BOO BOO ASU!)

Two (count them two) Hospital visits

Down the stairs.... Yes he went down the stairs by himself.........in his walker. He is very lucky. We went to the hospital and he had X-rays and a CT scan done and he was just fine. He got a bad bonk on his head with some rug burn and a gash in his eye. Everything was fine though, he didn't even need stitches, but he had a pretty bad headache for a day. To all those parents out there that are thinking that you should block off the stairs but you don't need to yet because they are too small....do it anyway. My husband and I talked about it the night before and decided what we should do (our stairs are not the type that can really be blocked off). Just don't wait.

Stitch not stitches.... The day before Thanksgiving he was riding a Razor scooter at Grandma's house when he fell and took a handlebar through the mouth. Yes, we did end up and the hospital because it went all the way through. The funny part was that they only put one stitch in. We were just glad there was no other damage. These are also the only pictures we have from Thanksgiving.

His first haircut

With clippers anyway. When I first started he was really interested in what was going on so I stopped so that I could grab the camera. Once the camera was rolling and we started again he freaked out and screamed the rest of the haircut. This is what he looked like when he was done. He looked like a completely different baby.
